Location

Zwingenberg is located on the Hessian Bergstrasse between Heidelberg and Darmstadt and is the oldest town on the Bergstrasse with almost 750 years. Zwingenberg means modern life in historical walls with many restaurants, shopping and leisure opportunities. Zwingenberg is built on a mountain. The historic Scheuergasse lies down in the valley and branches off directly from the mountain road known beyond the borders. With its own motorway connection and the train station at the end of Scheuergasse, you have a quick and ideal connection to the Rhine-Main area with Darmstadt and Frankfurt in the north or Mannheim and Heidelberg in the south. From Mannhein you getting with the S-Bahn straight to Ludwigshafen. The Old Barn Cottage is located in the historic Scheuergasse.

by car

Coming from the A5, take the Zwingenberg exit and follow the signs to the city center. You will inevitably be on the B3 (Bergstraße), which leads directly through Zwingenberg. The historic Scheuergasse branches off from Bergstrasse. Coming from the A67, take the Gernsheim exit. From there, follow the signs via Alsbach-Hähnlein to Zwingenberg. You will inevitably be on the B3 (Bergstraße), which leads directly through Zwingenberg. The Scheuergasse branches off from the Bergstrasse.

 

by train

Zwingenberg is on the Frankfurt - Darmstadt - Heidelberg railway line and has its own train station. The train station is at the end of Scheuergasse. It is a 4 minute walk to the Old Barn Cottage.

 

by bike

If you explore the Bergstraße by bike, you will come across the Bergstraße right through Zwingenberg. The Scheuergasse branches off from the Bergstrasse.

 

parking

The historic Scheuergasse is a pedestrian zone that you can use for loading and unloading. Please enter Scheuergasse from the train side. There is only one footpath from the main street (Bergstraße). You can then park your car at the beginning or end of Scheuergasse.
